help with finding year of motor

If some one could help me .I have LOOKED and LOOKED. I bought A motor from A man It Is inline 6 the numbers that are stamped on the block are 11CL-17 IT is out of A jeep but can,t find year he does not know. I have a 1979 CJ 5 thanks oldman
