Can't say that i did. My last activation was during D.S. and my status was changed and never got deployed. I think i'm too old now, lol.

I take my hat off to those who have or still are serving. Having sent 10 years in the technical side of my country's Airforce. I now find thru 4x4 here in the Gulf to have made friends with some with some great guys and girls that have served America proud.

I can count myself lucky to have met and had a beer with "Iron Mike" Whose pic is below. Keep it up Guys, lets make this world a safer place for our kids.

This will expose how "ancient" I am. In the early 70's, I served on the USS Truxtun, DLGN 35 one of only three surface nuclear powered ships at the time. Spent 7 months in the eastern Pacific, much of it stationed off the coast of North Vietnam.

NIOBC, Dam Neck, VA 1989
HSL-30, NAS Norfolk 1989-1991 (active duty)

Resigned commission as Lieutenant Commander in 1999 after getting married. Left the best job I ever had, but couldn't justify using all my vacation time from my "real" job to go play Navy, and never have time off with my family.
