    defrost

    the wife has an '04 unlimited,soft top,complains about the rear window not defrosting.what do you guys do,other than let it run?

    Other than letting it run. I will take a pitcher of warm water and splash it on the front sides and rear windows. It will often freeze but usually ends up defrosting quicker. If you wait for it to start to get warm inside it's more likely not to freeze.

    I do not scrape or wipe any windows.

    I use the anti fog for scuba diving. Works great. Apply once every couple of weeks

    what is anti fog? I have a good idea,but don't know were to purchase.remember Tennessee is land locked.

    isn;t it bad to put warm water on frozen windows?
    no more jeeps at this time. next time it will be a cj with a v8

    glass.

    i thought when you put warm or hot water on frozen glass the sudden temp change caused an uneven rate of expansion and caused the glass to crack sometimes?
    no more jeeps at this time. next time it will be a cj with a v8

    If you had a chip or crack you might end up with a bigger crack. But it will not start one. The automotive glass is resilient and could put up with large temp swings.
