EDC stands for Every Day Carry, these are items you always have on you when you leave the house, for example, wallet, keys, knife, phone, CC guns, flashlight, trusty letherman ANYTHING.

post pictures if you want but you dont need to to post in this thread

On me - wallet, pocket knife, phone, watch. That's it. I like to travel lite but if anyone of those items are not on my person when I leave the house I will have to go back and get it.

I was going to take a picture of the four things but couldn't figure out how to take a picture of my phone with my phone.

Heres mine,

samsung rant (a simple cell phone with a small bill)
small change purse
ipod touch 4g (because you can find wifi just about anywhere tese days)
keys with D-clip (its a 243 winchester round key ring)
wallet with school id and debit card (only about $7 or $8 bucks at any given time lol)
and to top it off a 9" limited edition Milano Stiletto (spring assisted)

its just enough for me to walk around without feeling either naked or weighted down with more gear than needed for daily tasks, my edc is a little lame but I have a new knife and some other goodies in the mail, and I plan on carrying a gun when im old enough to.

Ha, yeah that would've worked. It's just a small folding knife, slightly shorter than a two inch blade. My wife gave it to me when were dating and it has my initials engraved in it. Used more for opening boxes, presents etc more than anything. The brand is Col Littleton.

my grandpa had the exact same knife and used it for literally everything from cutting his steak to work to wittling on a piece of wood, its a good knife company they last

Wallet
Swiss Army pocket knife
2-way radio (volunteer firefighter/EMS in a very remote area)
Cell phone
Glock 36
Sun glasses
Very large keyring with way more keys than I have locks that wears holes in all my pockets

Wallet, pocket knife, cell phone, viagra and condoms. All the necessary items for those unexpected situations.

lol this guy ^
never leave the house without a condom

Phone, billfold with very little money but for some reason packed with lots of needless cards and crap. A big wad of keys (I'm a maintenance tech), my favorite old colonial barlow pocket knife with one broken blade and either a beretta 9000s ( usually in the fall or winter it doesn't conceal well) or a very old Smith single action 32 revolver, well worn from years of carry but very tight and crisp. I can carry it in my baggy shorts and you never see it.

I think I'll go clean the useless stuff out of my bilfold now.

The way the world is these days. One reason and I could name many. I live in the sticks, I came home a few years ago and my house had been broken into. I had my kids with me, didn't know as I came in if they were still in the house. All my guns were in the house not in my hand where I wanted them. So I got my carry permit. My wife also carries and is very proficient at peeling the center out of a target. Love guns, always have.

same here always carry never tell, theres three types of people sheep, wolves, and sheep dogs, sheep are difenceless people and 90% of the world, theres wolves who will rob you at gunpoint or try to hurt the sheep, and then theres the sheep dogs, sheep dogs protect the sheep and can defend themselves should a situation call for it, i dont like being a sheep.

:yeah-that: Great analogy! I just spent the day yesterday thinking about what kind of gun to get. I've got a 357 revolver but want something a bit more modern and smaller. Glock 27 maybe?

man, i grew up in the hood, east of los angeles and have been through new orleans in the bad hours (a few times), spent many evenings in downtown atlanta, 6th ward in houston, south west side in san antonio, tampa, dallas, birmingham, san francisco, phoenix, wook a wrong turn in new york, and been through many many bad areas of towns people would not walk alone and i still have never had to have a gun.

i totally understand the desire to want a gun, i would love to have one, but not feeling comfortable walking without one is not right. i think what people percieve as bad areas and what are actually bad areas might not be the same.

i mean, i have a buddy here at work, won;t leave his house without a gun (except to come to work, we work on a naval base) and says its not safe to go anywhere in town. i am thinking dude, have you ever went anywhere to see the good and bad areas of the town we live in and you are from san antonio, how can you be scared walking around corpus? he has become so dependant on having a gun to feel safe, he cannot do anything without it.

i live in an area called a bad area, for corpus christi. everyone says we have druggies and stabbings and all kinds of crap going on in my neighborhood but you know what, we have never had one incident like that. our neighborhood is old, really old. it looks run down but we have no trouble. we don;t have to lock our doors or cars, our kid can run up and down the streets, we have BBQs at different houses on the weekends, our neighborhood is not bad even though it looks it. are you sure your areas are bad enough to warrant carrying a gun all day, everyday?

flatie46, your story is a little different, living out in the sticks doesn;t apply to us city people's gun issues. you really need one living out in the country, i have done that too. there are some crazy people out there.

i am not saying anyone is wrong, but just saying maybe examine the areas you are worried about a little more. maybe they are not as bad as they appear so you don;t have to be so dependent on carrying a gun every where. take some time and walk those areas and find out whats going on in them. i ride all over corpus on my bicycle now that the doc said i need to lose weight or have surgery. i ride through areas people won't drive through. i see the people in those neighborhoods and they are not violent people, they are just like us. they say hi and wave back when i say hi. they are just as nervous about new people in the area as new people are to be there. that is change, it causes stress, thats life.

i will get a gun some day though. hopefully something nice and small like a 223 or something like that. maybe a 22 pistol. just for fun at the range and in case any zombies ever show up, ha ha ha.

Hey superj I totally agree. Folks just dont get addicted to the thought that you have to have a weapon, the zombies aren't here yet.
