So I have an 85 cherokee xj. And it's got the vacuum 4 wheel drive actuator. Has anyone out their made a skid plate or. Guard to protect those lines and the actuator. Pics and maybe dimensions and what not would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

I bought the kit that eliminates the vacuum actuator all together.

There's already a small factory skid in place, and I beat on my stock axle pretty hard and never had a problem. I think there's more vital areas to protect first.

If you ever have a problem with the vacuum actuator not engaging, leaving you stuck without 4wd, simply remove the vacuum actuator from the front axle, slide the axle collar to the locked position, and install the vacuum actuator upside down. It will stay engaged and give you 4wd until you reverse the procedure.

Mine doesn't have the stock one. I'm really just looking for different ideas on building skid plates and guards. Im looking for ideas and pics and stuff. But I never thought about engaging out by hand and flipping it over. That's a good idea thanks
