I’m considering buying this Rubi but I’m coming from a Tacoma and many other Toyota’s so I’m familiar with their reliability. Is there anything I need to look out for when buying a Jeep. I know the mod bug will hit but I’m talking about common issues. Thanks

Has the Rubicon been modified in any way? If lifted or larger tires, drive it at all speeds, from slow street speed to high freeway speeds and make sure there is no wobble. Accelerate moderately aggressively, and make sure there is no binding in the drive system. Shift into and out of 4 hi and 4 low and drive in each range. Look for signs of being submerged. Look at fluids. If all those seem OK, you are probably GTG.

As mentioned look for signs of damage repair, submersed and modification.
Should go in and out of gear easily. Same for transfer case. St slow speeds and drive vibrations. At 65 mph and oscillation or DW?

Check codes.

Check u joints both drive shaft and axels. Check TREs and track bar ends. Nothing should have play in it.
