Hello...I'm a complete newbie and I'd like to ask about installing a hitch on my new-to-me Wranger TJ
Can someone point me to the right part of the forum to ask questions about DIY hitch installation?
Please and Thank you

Under technical/ wrangler and CJ

What will you be towing?
TJ towing capacity is not great. I've seen some add airbags to the rear springs to help maintain stability. It doesn't increase capacity though.
U-hall makes easy to bolt up hitches.
Check E trailer.com

Some bumpers have hitch mounts included but not many are rated for towing.

Thanks JPNinPA,
I will check out technical/wrangler. I will be towing an 18' bayliner bowrider boat...but I live a mile from the boat ramp...so I won't be going more than a couple miles with the trailer on any given day...no highway...all 35mph streets. I've ordered a CURT brand hitch and watched a couple videos on how to install it. This will be my first Jeep project. I will share it here on Jeepz. Thanks again.
