Tap, Tap, Tap...

Ok.....got the 350 in the Willys tuned/timed. I adjusted the rockers, all is good except #7 exhuast. It can be tightened to the point of being lashed, then a little more. Valve covers on..all is good. After 10 minutes or so, it starts to tap. Then tap, tap, tap..... Could I use lock-tite on it? I thought about geting it set/lashed, then "pinning it" with the few light taps of a cold chisel. Is this a good idea? Any thoughts? Engine runs great for a few minutes, then tap, tap, tap......
