How to remove the shift rod housing from the Spicer 20
Hi Everyone
I'm working on removing a Spicer 20 transfer case from a 1970 Jeepster to replace some gaskets.
I have the transfer case off the transmission, but I am having a hard time getting the shift rod housing (the red arrow) off of the transfer case. All the bolts are out and it moves a little, but is hung up on the front propeller shaft yoke ( green area)
Any thoughts on how to get this dang thing off?
Keep in mind, I don't know I am doing and am surprised I have made it this far
Thanks
G
