In with the new...

Finished the fuel system for the Howell fuel injection kit. Mounted the massive filter and inline pump, removed the manual fuel pump and installed the block off plate. One step closer to starting it.

It won’t let me post a video but the YJ starts and runs with the Howell fuel injection kit! Picture shows the engine bay (mostly) cleaned up, you get rid of a lot of unnecessary wiring with this kit plus this Jeep already had the nutter bypass and HEI distributor installed.

Traded my friend (former neighbor) cages, he’s not going to run a back seat or top in his YJ and I would prefer the family cage for ease of fitting the frameless TJ top.






Also connected the header to the Banks exhaust, used some 2.5” o.d. Stainless tube, a flex connector, and an adapter. Now it’s a lot quieter.

Went to swap all the steering out on the YJ, I had a new autozone replacement box (which ended up not being a Jeep box at all) new hoses Rustys Off-road HD steering and a Fabtech steering box skid plate. Because of the box debacle I only installed the tie-rod. Started pulling the front apart for paint and got the cage sat in place.
