Wiring path for Driving Lights--HELP!

I am trying to wire driving lights that are mounted on the windshield frame, but I can't find a good path for the wires. I was thinking about drilling a hole in the cowl and then routing the wires into the engine compartment, but I can't find a good way to get back through the firewall near the fuse box. There are a lot of holes and grommets that I could use near the steering column and peddle box, but I prefer to keep all the wires near the fuse box (so I don't have to extend the harness for the lights). Any suggestions???

No need to drill! I did a good write up on the ones I mounted, but it's long gone. However, I have some pictures of the finished product if you want. You can flip your windshield down and snake the wires into the cowl from there. I think the only drilling I did was on the inside of the cowl into the engine compartment.
