subwoofer air needs

So I have a problem fellow forum members I have subs 8" sundown sa-8 that need about .8 ft cubed air space bit the boxes I have only have .5 ft cubed will this have any significant differences in sound quality?

Yup......the reason the mfgr says they need .8cf of air space is because speakers make sound by moving the air.....not enough air space=not enough air to move to create the designed sound.

inserting the acoustic insulation will give the effevt of a slightly larger enclosure than it is. selectproducts.com will have what you need.
