Hello,

i am new to the thread but I just purchased a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am noticing this high pitched almost like a dog whistle noise when I am in the driver seat or passenger seat when I open and close the door. It happens so quickly and it is a such a high frequency noise that it penetrates my ears. I don’t have the car on or running when this happens. Any ideas what it could be? I am assuming it is electrical and I have searching online with no luck.

Thank you,

I don't know. But a thought is to grease the hinge maybe a bit of penetrating oil then grease. Second is if you have speakers in the door maybe the wires are broken or frayed and momentarily shorting to something?
Being either door maybe bad radio ground so when lights come on a pulse gets sent up the ground causing the noise?
