Satalite radio no go

I picked up my '06 TJ this weekend. It's equipe with sirius radio. When I went to activate it, it couldn't pick up the signal. Has anybody had any similar issues? I'd rather not have to involve the dealership if it's a simple fix or something I'm overlooking.

The 06 TJ has a separate satellite module located under the instrument panel ,passenger side. It looks like a small amp. aluminum housing. It's going to have a harness to it from the radio and a sattelite antenna plugged into it. Check the connections. If it checks out okay, contact the sirius technical hotline and see if they can help you pinpoint the concern.

Thanks Mikey, any chance for a pic or diagram? I'm looking there but can't find what you describe. Either it isn't there or I simply don't know what I'm looking for. One is just as likely as the other.

1 - Satellite Receiver 2 - Electrical Connector 3 - Mounting Bolts
It is mounted behind the glove box.

Thanks, I found it under the steering wheel. Looks to be all connected up right so i guess I'll be taking it to a dealership to figure out why it doesn't work.
