Filter Question

Is there any benefit in putting a k&n air filter in my 15 patriot? Not the whole cold air set up just the filter? I was just looking for a little more umph and maybe a few miles more on gas?

Only real gain you'll see from a filter is replacing a dirty one with a clean one. I installed an AFE cold air intake on my Wrangler and didn't see any improvement. It's louder, but that's about the only change.

Agree with the two above.

Better mpg comes with not racing, good tire pressure, properly tuned operating engine. There are many things tat take away hp and mpg. Bigger tires, lift kits increased drive angles, ....

Hp gains come from more displacement.

I may add:
Avoiding some habits also help improve mpg. Ex. brake wastes the fuel so use slow down wisely so you wouldn't loose kinetic energy and use fuel to regain it.
