1077310 actually, most of the 86 cj's had the amc 20 in them, very few were made with the dana 44.......sure you just got turned around.... jeep ran out of the amc 20's and had to use the dana 44 on the last of the 86's to leave the assembly line....anyway, so he's probably right in that it is...

1073446 you could always go with a 1" to 1 and half " shackle lift....cheap, and easy to do, and will more than make room for the 31's, plus let you articulate a little cory [addsig]

1073466 i had a 1 and half inch shackle lift for a couple of years, needed new shocks(86 cj) when i did it.........i agree with Mike though, you really dont want to get too extreme with the shackle lifts, they can make handling pretty squirrelly..... cory[addsig]
