05 TJ with check engine light

No other codes just those two. No overheating and as far as I know it hasn't been serviced (I've owned it less than 2 years). Please forgive my my lack of knowledge here, so I should have the transmission fluid changed? And a trans cooler? Thanks!!!

05 TJ with check engine light

My 05's check engine light came on (steady, not blinking), and ran the codes and a 700 code came up. Took it to the garage, and they ran diognostics on it and said They couldn't find anything wrong. I disconnected the battery for the weekend, and the light stayed off for a day, but is now back...

    Fog Lamp, turn signal issue?

Thanks-it does seem to be the switch. The one listed on eBay, has the same issue. I unplugged the fog lamps until I can order a new switch-wish I could repair the one I have-everything else on it works. Thanks for the replies!

    Loosening flush mount bolts?

Yes, on the blue loctite on the one I could get out, and yes, the bit I'm using is sharp. The ones on the passenger side won't even budge. Thanks for for the drilling advise as well! Will have to give that a try on the one I stripped!

    AC noise

Thanks for the replies. I looked/listened a little closer and it only make the sound when something is cycling on and off, makes a clicking sound, then it will make the noise, then it will click again, and the noise goes away, this just cycles through. I live in Savannah, GA, so it hot and humid...

    AC noise

My 05 makes a noise that sounds like air blowing over a bottle, maybe what others describe as a whirling noise. Only happens when the AC is on, and though not constant, happens a lot (like most of the time)-any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Camshaft synchronizer

Thanks for the info! So the ODPA is the same thing as the camshaft synchronizer? Did watch the video and the "laughing monkey" sound is the sound it was making.

    Camshaft synchronizer

2005 X had a squealing sound when I started it up this morning. Thinking it was just a loose belt, I took it to the garage and after looking at it they said that the camshaft synchronizer needed to be replaced. Is this a common issue? thanks!
