I have the same problems with white dirt bikes, I have used wd40 amoral and light cooking oil in spray bottles,,,, it will keep the mud from soaking in and will help it not stick. but, only spray it on just befor you go muddin or the dust will really stick.

I will build a 350 when the time comes, but to answer,,, I have a 283 running right now, and I didn't want to get into to much without going through the whole drive train. I thought I would just get it running for now, and do some playing while I get everything that I wan't. after all...

Anyone with an opinion about a 283 in a cj 5,, stock 3spd, and 34 in swampers will this be a decent set up? most of the driving will be just beeting around, some pavement but not much, I'm trying to keep this as fun as I can for under a grand ,,,,,,,, so far I'm doing pretty good. :twisted:
