basic info:
-1992 wrangley yj
-2.5 L

i have a few questions:
-is there anything relatively cheap that i should go ahead and replace...
so ive decided to go with another 4 banger for my jeep, but i was wondering if there are any 4 cyl turbo motors that will hook directly up to my transmission.
if not-is there something that is relatively easy to put in my jeep to give it more power?
my heater core in my 92 yj is taking a dump.im not the most mechanical person out there but is this something i can do myself or should i leave it to a mechanic?
so if i just go with a v6 i will only have to purchase a wiring harness and thats it?
now that i think about it i may just go ahead and get another 2.5 dropped in.i dont really need all the power being that i don t really take my jeep into anything to thick,my little 4 banger does just fine...
i am wanting to swap in a 6 cyl and a ax 15 to my 92 wrangler.
i got a hell of a good price for labor to drop in another 4 cyl but the mechanic said he didnt want to do the wiring if i upgrade to a 6 cyl.is it really that difficult?is there some type of adapter that i can buy and use it with...
i think thats what im going to have to do because im going to buy a remanufactured engine and transmission.i'll have to buy new axles and drive shaft wont i for the v8?you think the stock axles and drive shaft from my 4 banger will hold up to a v8?im sure they'll handle a v6 right?
thanks.i think im going to go with the v8 since it sounds easier.ok-so what transmission will i have to go with to handle the v8?
will i have to swap anything else out other than the transmission and the harness?
thanks for the info-im new to this as you can easily see:???:
i expected to drop a new transmission in anyways since i have almost 150,000 miles on it.how much should i expect all the wiring and motor mounts to cost?
ive got about 6 grand im going to put in it,i convinced my wife this is the better way to go instead of spending all the money on another...
