Most recent pics of your Jeep.

This is the one I rebuilt last summer. It was basically a jeep version of the flintstones mobile. Not too bad now. Around the middle of July I plan on jacking it up and putting 35x12.5R15 on it. We'll see. Gig

    Battery or Alt.

I mean after the fact that it is started. LOL But if that is not what you meant, then think about it. Why do people buy deep cycle batteries? For their heavy use of electricity, causing constant battery drainage (ie: Winch, Flood Lights etc...) Why? the stock alt does not produce enough amperage...

    Battery or Alt.

I had a problem with my alt a couple months ago. It wasn't anything electronic though. Mechanical. The belt was starting to slip, since the pulley was worn out (More square than a V) and was just slipping silently. Usually the volt meter in the jeep should read 14V, but with lights and w/e else...

    What is involved?

Well... my rear diff started leaking on the yoke end. I just want to know what is involved in fixking this, must be a seal? I have no clue as I have never gutted an axle,, just changed the oil. It is the stock D35. Thanks Gig

Makes you appreciate the way they make windshield glass eh? Could you imagine if it was just ordinary window glass? Sickening thought.... Glad you're ok. Gig

    Have you been greasing?

This is what you grease. If you notice, there is a little nipple(grease fitting) sticking out. You use a grease gun to inject grease into the joint. You can buy a grease gun at pretty much any auto parts store. There are also grease nipples on the drive shafts. Take note that there are...

    Have you been greasing?

It all depends on your preference. You could grease them as much as you like. But if you don't grease them enough, they will wear out faster. The heavier the use, the more you'll want to grease 'em. For normal use though, every oil change should do. Gig

    President Bush lives in Dreamland!

I can say President Bush isn't the only person living in Dreamland. Up here where I am gas is $1.15CDN / LITRE! Two weeks ago it was $1.10CDN and down across the border it was $2 something a gallon... But being in quebec, we have the highest taxes in Canada.... :( Maybe rust holes are...

    Have you been greasing?

Just wanted to see what everyone else does. I usually grease the joints every few weeks, since I don't do too much off-roading at the moment. But seeing as how I work on a farm, I know a little about joints, and greasing them on a regular basis does wonders. Your joints could last 10 times...

    BAD steering wobble

Another thing you might check are the tie rod ends. Are the joints loose? Another thing could be that the rod from the steering wheel could be loose when it goes inside the steering box. I just had to adjust mine(Tighten... not too much), and the wobbling went away. Don't know if this will help...

    Wheel stud suprise!!!

I didn't go through something exactly like it, but had my tires on my old car changed at a garage., they tightened the studs SOO tight, that when I hit a bump, my tire went flying in front of me... I couldn't figure out what it was until it was too late, and I ended up in a 4th of july show...

    Stock Steering Box

Yeah, I figured it was external (After looking around and figuring it didn't make any sense to open it to adjust something like that). No more wandering of the roads :D It handles so much nicer. Thanks for the info(s) Gig

    TJ Door Problem...

I would say the ones on your door. i wouldn't mess with the ones on the body as they also hold the windshield, at least for me. Gig
