    Fuel gauge problem

    Tank was at 1/4 then I filled it and thought BOY am I getting GREAT mileage ! Yes it took the proper amount from 1/4 to full.....Found out tank was empty put in fuel started right up gauge was still showing 3/4......I only put a gallon or 2 in it......I'm thinking bad ground......even replaced...

    Test showed all gauges working I get a full reading on fuel gauge during this test

    Fuel gauge problem

    Filled my tank and a few days later ran out of gas.....Gauge was reading 3/4 of a tank......Tank empty.....Replaced tank sending unit....Still have the same problem......Any insite on this problem ? 1997 TJ 4.0...Automatic........Thanks !
