My family has four jeeps two cherokees both 2000s a 2008 grand for mom and a 94 wrangler for my older son. ( I am not allowed to park my company car in front of my house- its a Ford) I would recommend a Cherokee. my older son loves his wrangler but always says if he was to to it again he would...
I wash my jeep every time it rains if it needs it or not. A jeep is the only vehicle you can climb out of covered when its covered in mud while in a tux at a wedding and everyone would just smile and laugh why waste the water
My house has two Cherokees a yj wrangler and a 2008 grand. I was really hoping the new Cherokee would be more a Jeep than a suv. I drive 600 miles a week in my Cherokee and love every mile. I was just hoping it would be a new Jeep.
When the check engine light came on I put my code reader on it. The first few times the code came up as "no codes" as I have a $30 reader I went to both autozone and advanced auto they both came up with the p0194 code but do not carry the part. Now every time I get in it will come in with tat...
I have a 2000 jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 liter engine. I got the p0194 I can reset it and it will stay off until I let the truck sit overnight. If I jump in and start it it will tr the code if I reset it and turn the key on for two or three minutes it does not come in. Where is this sensor...
Ok seems to be heat related and fuel related I'm thinking the fuel is vaporizing in the rail. Does any one know if insulation would help? The jeep needs to be run at least five to ten minutes and then sit for five to ten minutes sitting for less or more and the issue does not occur.
Thanks
No misfires more of a vibration I initially thought a bad pully but everything is tight and no squeaks or squeals no check engine light if it's a misfire it would have to be at least two cylinders dropping out but engine seems to rev very smooth
Thanks
I have a 2000 Cherokee with a 4.0 and 97000 miles. If I shut it off and restart it with in about five minutes like when I get gas it has a bad rumble for about 20 seconds after which it goes away and does not return. It only happens under this scenario and by the time I et the hood open it is...
I would check to see if any insulation came off the gas line look closely to the area near the exhaust manifold. Sounds like a vapor lock situation to me. The next time it happens turn the key on and do not start the engine for 10-15 seconds this will repressurize the fuel system and might help
My wife's 2001 grand had this issue .
I found the check valve on the fuel pump was sticking open had it replaced over 100k ago and never again had the issue. She now has over 165000 with no other fuel issues knock on wood. The way I was told to check it was to turn the key on but do not start...
I don't know if you tried this yet, it may sound so simple it was overlooked, it may not even be the cause... but I had a 97 tj with dash board errors and hard starts. stalling on a good jar from a bump. I talked to a jeep salesman I know he told me to check all the connections on the back of...
I have a 1998 grand with a 5.2l engine. last week I posted on a new noise after a large puddle got in my way. (it won) I got a mech to check the codes. there were just a few 16 to be exact--- needless to say could we not pin point a thing. after about 3 miles the light came back on. the code...
