I have put two different carbs on an it has a new fuel pump an filter an it's doing the same thing. One of the carbs was a electronic carb the other one was just a manual. Could it be something in the tank?

How do you know if your intake is bad. An how would you check to see if it's bad. Would this be making my jeep die when I'm driving an cut out. When it dies I can just wait a little bite an it will start right back up. But when I start driving again it will start acting up.

It's got the carter carb.

Some times it does but sometime it takes a little to get it running. But when it starts it idles great. I'm just so stumped.I don't think the 1989 has a crankshaft positioning sensor. But I could be wrong this is my first jeep. What's a CKP?
