didn't find any leaking from there. also no weird noises from the pump, no dieseling or anything like that. further mystery: topped off the colant after that, and...it doesn't leak at all now. nor is the coolant level dropping. and the adventure continues under my "this is bad indeed" thread.

codes 12 and 55. got spark, got fuel--rich, but pressure's right where it should be.

no no no no. sorry--lacked some clarity. turns over, but won't start. battery's fine. then again...old battery got killed by the alternator when it crapped out, and the one i have is the SECOND replacement--first one was defective. is it possible then that something in the pcm got a bit cooked?

been trying to get my xj running on me own, to save labor costs (unemployed, must scrimp). but after running one week out of every four or five since august, i gave up in frustration yesterday and sent it to the only mechanic in this area that i trust. it's still doing the same thing: run a bit...

running champions, having some random death/crappy idle issues. pulled the plugs for a look, they only have about 200 miles on 'em and the electrodes are coated with a rustish/chocolatey-brown soot. never seen this before. anyone know what gives???

on my jeep it's the thing that informs the vehicle i'm inside and need to go somewhere, and tells the engine to die.

this is really starting to annoy. died again last week, got a code 17. replaced thermostat, and...no start. had it towed home, where it promptly fired up after i got back in town yesterday. warmed up properly (was running too cold before, had assumed it was due to the bitterish cold weather)...

all our money went bye-bye. but if memory serves: gas prices spiked rather nastily during Gulf War I, which only lasted 45 days. then they fell right off. Gulf War II has lasted...how long now?...with prices continuing to rise. now that a pullout has been at least tentatively reached, prices...

sales might not be so dismal if any of these companies built cars worth buying...
