    Extra hole (lighting)

real jeep Well it is a red Cherokee, and the previous owner is a sheriff here in AZ, but it does not look like the holes have ever been used. They are factory holes. I'll keep asking around. I think I'll put some blinkers in for passing untill I figure out what really goes in them.

    Extra hole (lighting)

I had my taillight assemblies off the other day to remove the poorly installed trailer wiring a previous owner put in. When I got to the back of the light units I found that each side had an empty hole. From the top down I have: Tail/brake Empty Turn Reverse The empty hole is next to the...

    New tires

I put some new tires on our '93 Cherokee this weekend. We had P235/75-15 Pathfinders that provide a good ride, but wore out rather quickly. Our replacement tires are LT235/75-15 BF Goodrich All Terrain TA-KOs. The ride difference is incredible. I have not had them off-road yet, but their...

    Speedometer gear

XJ lift I need to correct the speedometer on my '93 Cherokee. I have found the articles posted here on how to change to the right sized gear, but there seems to be some confusion on how long the gear is suppose to be. The articles I read list the short gear at 2.2 inches and the long gear at...

    Free Speech

Great thread. I wrote this about 9 years ago. I thought it might be appropriate here. RIGHTS CANNOT BE ABUSED! This is not about the infringement of rights by others, but the claim that a person can abuse the Rights that he has. Two very popular misconceptions of how we abuse our rights...

    I.P. Speakers????

As luck would have it I blew out the bulb that lights the heater control panel the day after I got my new stereo in. Not wanting to pull the dash bezel off again I started by checking the fuses. Hanging down under the dash, just out of sight above the e-brake, is a connector with four wires...

    stereo install

The Metra kit I got is as you describe. Ford/Chrysler/AMC. However I did use most of the kit. Because the last owner attached the sleeve of the old radio to the bezel and the old radio was a bit larger then the new one I had nothing to mount to. To use this kit I left the DIN style sleeve out...

    stereo install

Thanks for the reply guys. I decided not to wait for replys and went and bought the Metra Turbokit. (Trouble at work lead to a 3 hr lunch and the need to burn some time but thats another story.) For stereo install it was the best $17 I ever spent. If the previous owner had not hacked the...

    stereo install

’93 Cherokee I am installing a new CD receiver in the dash and would like to know what kinds of install kits you have used and recommend? The only thing I have left in the dash from a previous radio install is the screw holes on each side. Also, is there suppose to be something in the back...

    Bad window tint

When we bought our XJ it came with some very bad window tint that will be removed and replaced soon. To save a little money I was going to remove the old tint myself. Are there any products you can recommend that will make this easier, or should I just let the pros do it? I almost forgot. I...

    Paint and more

I am probably going to have our '93 XJ painted soon. The southern Arizona has taken its toll on the red paint. My Question is; has anyone here used a spray-on bed liner type product for the lower parts. I am thinking about having the areas below the body crease done with rino-liner.(sp) I...

    Gas prices

You are correct, and yes, we need to put this into perspective. Gasoline is a modern day necessity and is taxed at about #35%. Tea is and was a luxury and a 3% tax started the "Boston Tea Party". It is not the responsibility of OUR govt. to regulate US. It is OUR responsibility to regulate...
