    What did you do to your Jeep today?

    What did I do to my Jeep today, you wanna know. I put some ads for parts on Craigslist, and got some replies, believe it or not. Then I went back to brazing the holes left by the plastic running board and fenders that were on the YJ tub I picked up to put on my 81 CJ7. That's what I did today!

    Paint code

    Thanks for the replies. I do have a piece of the original body, and I think I can match it up to a 1K or a 1J. I see a lot of new Jeeps with the same color, maybe I can pull one of them over and look under the hood. LOL. At any rate, I am sure I will be fine.

    Paint code

    The code plate on the firewall of my 81 Jeep CJ7 was badly torn up and I would like the paint code so I can order the paint, when it is time. Is there a way I can get the code from the VIN? There are vendors to whom I can go, but it would be a case of just matching colors. Can anyone out there...

    1979 CJ7 parts

    Larry, I am new at Jeepz, so if you have any parts left at all I would be interested, especially the frame, which probably was gone the minute you posted this thread. My Jeep is a 1981 CJ7, which was almost completely rusted out. Please send pics of whatever is left. Mike
