    bottom of steering colum shaft where top of shaft that goes to steering box connects

    what is the correct way to remove steering shaft from steering coloum shaft ? I took bolt out & tried hammering it down it moved some feels tight i don,t want to screw it up ineed to replace steering bushing & bushing retainer my book dosen,t show any of this
