    Exhaust to EGR connection

My 90 YJ passed NJ inspection (visual/sniff/etc) at the DMV with the Pulse Air tubes Blocked, the EGR Valve Blocked, and a bunch of other "adjustments" Basically I just had Stock Cat Converter and the Carter Carb, and that's about it. Rich

    Clutch adjustment???

Transmission Problem?? did you do the install yourself? if a mechanic/shop was involved, i'd just bring it back to them and have them fix it...

    yj with no power

flyboy, your air filter is black... black with oily residue? or just regular black? if it's oily residue then i would check the tubes connecting to the PCV valve and the other tube connected on the valve cover towards the fire wall if your engine is like mine and constantly kicks oil into your...

    carb of 73 cj5

If you have a 1 brrl Carb, it's the 232 engine you have. I've never heard of a 4 brrl carb for this engine. I don't think you can convert to EFI easily, or at all. You could change the intake manifold as derff96963 hinted, but then it might just be easier to throw a V8 in there

ripped out my pulse air hoses, emission laws?

Jeep90, so don't plug "not the big port that the pulse air hose connected to". What do you do with them, just leave them open? If you have an attachment can you send it to my email? richsia@yahoo.com Thanks

ripped out my pulse air hoses, emission laws?

Jeep90, are you sure we don't have the same jeep... I currently run "the loop" I'll go with your idea of plugging them independently

    Flooding Out

Jeep90... I think everyone with a 90 YJ has the same problems as we do. You mentioned a few weeks back that you were planning on running the nutter bypass, have you had a chance to? let me know Here's what happens to me on a cold morning... Get in, press gas, start jeep (1-2 cranks), fast idle...

    Flooding Out

I have the EXACT same problem... Still have it with the Webber. Starts up just fine when cold, but after some driving, and I let it sit for over 5 minutes, I need 5 minutes to start her back up due to the carb being flooded. I checked the choke plate, and she's operating fine... I re-adjusted...

    what to do

Jeep90, i feel the same way about my webber, no noticable HP increase, no gain in fuel efficiency, no more torque, she's very touchy on "warm starts"... the only benefit i've experienced is better idle and less stalling out when i come to a stop... wish i knew about the motocraft earlier my...

    Vacuum questions

They're stepper valves for your Pulse Air System. If you're pulse air's not functioning, then you can remove or block them off. They're useless if you're not running with stock emissions

    what to do

Jeep90... I'm in the same boat you are... have a YJ and Webber... I ws thinking about fuel injection, but after looking at my intake manifold and how rusted it is, I decided against it... Maybe try getting an install manual or talk to someone who did the upgrade themselves... I know there's some...

    Shocks?

Shocks aren't too bad... You don't need much besides a Socket Wrench Set and maybe a good Floor Jack. Might as well grease all the fittings while your down there too. Changing the leaf springs though... I think those would be a b!tch...

    Recalls on my 90 YJ

Geoff: 85 bucks!!!! I'd rather let the light stay on. A buddy of mine works in a Mercedes Dealership as a Autotech. Let's just say I wouldn't trust the guy to change my oil. They hire anybody whose ever seen a car to work back there. Caliyjgirl... Some major differences from Cal and NYC...
