    33x12.5x15 on 8" rims

1040644 That size of tire should be mounted on an 8" to 10" wheel.[addsig]

    sping over economics

1040645 Cost depends on what vehicle you are putting it on. It cost me $180 to put the spring over on my scrambler. Because of it's length, I didn't need any new drive shafts. The stock front shaft will work on all cjs and yjs. On a cj-7 you would need to install a transfer case drop kit...

Max. size tires on factory rims?

1040052 Lots of people use 31x10.5 tires on their factory wheels. They will rub the fender flares slightly if used hard offroad but it really isn't enough to worry about. With a 2" lift you could fit a 33x10.5 on your factory wheels. [addsig]

    questions about a lift

1040057 It is possible on the cjs but that's not enough lift for the yjs. You may want to consider widening the fenders. [addsig]

1040078 The name stands for Trendy Jeep. Really. [addsig]

    tire question

1040117 You won't need to cut the fenders with that much lift. Even with the 304 you'll probably want lower gears with that big of tires. [addsig]

    front shake in suspension

1040156 I had a few pounds of mud on the inside of my wheels and that made it shake really bad. A bad tire is probably the problem, or it could be a bent wheel, or bad shocks. [addsig]

    \'03 Wrangler Rubicon

1040191 There is an article in Peterson's 4 Wheel & Off Road alos. Dual lockers, Dana 44's, 31" mud tires, no slip yoke. Looks like its ready for a 6" lift, some fender cutting, and 38s. [addsig]

    tire option

1040232 Don't buy the procomps. They wear out in under 30K on a 1/2 ton pickup. They mud the worst out of all the mud tires I've used (bf goodrich m/t, futura durango m/t, centennial mud king, maxxis buckshot mudder), and they're expensive. The bf goodrich will last longer than any other mud...

How fast will a CJ with a 258 go.

1040233 I have the t-4, no overdrive. The throttle opens all the way. 3.31 with 33s is lower than 2.73 with 31s. Most jeeps came with 2.73, I was just lucky to have the lower ones. And i'm thinking of an AMC 390 or 401 for when I swap engines. But that's not untill after the Dana 44s...

looking to get a 94 or 95 wrangler, what are the pros and co

1040234 94 and 95 are identical. There was no 96 and tj started in 97. It's hard to find a good, low mileaged 94 or 95 or any year jeep for $5000. Expect to pay around $8000. This is how to make the cj drive good. 1. Adjust the steering box. I hope you know where the box is. There is an...

    help

1040235 15x8 white spoke wheels are $27 each from summit racing. Discount tire will match the price and I think 4 wheel wholesale will also. 31x10.5 futura durango m/t are about $75 from pep boys. These are good tires. Total for all of this about $440 for tires, wheels, and tax. [addsig]

    tire option

1040256 You're right. 4 wheel parts does own a large part of pro comp. [addsig]

    clutch problem?

1040257 It sounds like your clutch has some oil on it or your engine and/or transmission mounts are bad. [addsig]

    2.5 liter to a 5.7 ??????

1040313 Your transmission probably won't last long behind a 350. Get a bigger transmission with the 350. You may be able to find one that will bolt to your transfer case without any adapters. Your transfer case is strong enough. [addsig]
