I find that several times a day people pull out of junctions, side roads etc in front of the Jeep, it was the same with my last Jeep:x
Do they think - oh 4x4 s are slow so we can just pull out - it's very strange :???:
In a collision their cars will no doubt come off worse than the Jeep thats...

I have replaced the headlamp bulbs with White Xeon bulbs and they look a lot better and brighter than the yellow halogen ones 8)
It's the side/parking lights and front indicators that I can't access.
I'm reluctant to remove the headlamps because I will have to reset the beam :(
I have a couple of 55w rectangular spotlights that I plan to fit to the front roofbar.
What is the best way to route the wiring, do I have to drill a hole in the roof :shock: or could I just feed it through the door, the Jeep is black so I could use black waterproof electrical tape ? :-|
The heater/demister in my 97 GC constantly blows hot air. I get the message 'Temperature Sensor Fault' on the LED display screen.
The Temp gauge never moves from the centre position and the engine is not overheating.
Would replacing the thermostat cure this as it's a lot cheaper than a new...
I tried to replace the standard bulbs with uprated ones in the side/parking lights. According to the handbook and recently purchased Haynes manual - you remove the top (Torx) screw which is easy enough - then the bottom screw which is blocked by the front repeaters !.

It looks like I'll have to remove the grille, I copied the illustration if I can't straighten it Ill get the mechanic to have a go when he fits the new front spring next week.
I'm not really too bothered it's not as if the bumper is hanging off I never noticed it when I was buying the Jeep :-|
There is a gap of about half an inch between the front indicators on one side of the front bumper of my 97 Grand Cherokee LTD.
I have removed some screws on the plastic protector covering the wheel but I cannot locate the bolts to straighten it up :???:

I had the Jeep checked over in the garage today, it is in generally good condition, they greased the steering and it now handles a lot better.
Main faults are driver side front spring and pair of front discs required.
I'll soon get a S/H spring on 'E' and...
