That's what I plan to use. I took the endplate off mine and sprayed some oil in around the gears and it helped a lot until I get a chance to replace the grease.
It's pretty easy to do. You can press them out & back in easy enough. You have to remove the clips, obviously and then use a couple of sockets and a vise. I sprayed mine with Deep Creep penetrating oil.
Some simply use a BFH but I like using a vise...more precise and you can watch it to make...
Hey Ted, I just checked with both admins over there and they suggest you sign up again. They had a sever issue, so you might have been a victim.
EDIT: You are approved.
I agree, it looks like little damage, but to be safe, change them. It looks like you were hitting the skid plate pretty hard in that 3rd pic, but lucked out with the damage. I doubt I would have been that lucky.
It sure is. You can join for 30 days to check things out. We're always planning something. Next year will be a big event at RMTP, if we can pull it off.
We'll be doing some snow wheeling as soon as it gets here. 8)
I'm from the central Maine area. Staffer on Maine4x4.org. Rocky Mountain Terrain Park in Carthage is a good spot to go. I go to Allwheels in Lewiston a lot because it's so close.
There's a few guys from southern Maine in the club, and one from NH who comes up this way.
