By disconnecting the battery for a few min will clear the codes. My guess is that is why it was being sold.

#2 spray the undercarriage with a protectant. I hear it works well. One is paraffin wax based the other uses thinned out used oil.

Concept is to keep water and corrosives out from under the jeep....

Many things can cause this.tire pressure, alignment, worn parts...


Do a dry steer test. Look for worn parts. Include engine mounts and control arm bushings. Thrust angle from alignment.

Opening just the rear window draws all the smells in including exhaust gasses. Is your exhaust running close to something rubber like tires gas lines or vent tubes?

Is that a homemade CB antenna mount?
If so is that top nut welded to the plate that will be grounded? I ask cause it looks like its all grounded and you will never get SWR to move.

Think you found the issue. If its in gear and you start it it will try to move the vehicle or clutch will slip. If in neutral it will start but you cannot disengage the clutch.

Maybe supply/demand? Dealers may move more 4 door so keeping 2 doors on the lot is not profitable.???? Just my 2 cents
