    Re: Happy Thanksgiving 2022

We ended up celebrating on Friday, and it turned out really well.
Even got down the Christmas tree at my mom's house.

I like these fuse block taps:

From there you can plug into the headlights in your fuse block, or whatever circuit you want.
  3. Re: Should I trade in these Craftsman USA ratchets?

So I went to Lowe's and swapped out my broken 3/8 and I must say it was super easy they didn't ask me for an ID or hassle me in any way. They told me to just go pick a new one out off the shelf. I...
  4. Re: Should I trade in these Craftsman USA ratchets?

The 3/8 ratchet has the forward reverse selector broken off and the only repair kits I could find for it were twice the price of the same ratchet on eBay so I'll probably swap that one out at Lowe's...
  5. Should I trade in these Craftsman USA ratchets?

I've got two USA made Craftsman ratchets that no longer work. I've heard these are prized over the newer Craftsman ratchets. I'm torn between taking these to Lowe's and swapping them out for working...

Re: Going to try my hand at welding

Yeah, I think you are right. I wasn't getting any penetration, then I turned the voltage up from the recommended and got the above. I'll turn it up a bit more and see if that helps.

Re: Going to try my hand at welding

I got my first weld today on some 14 gauge steel that I couldn't break off with my pliers. I'm not going to quit my day job anytime soon but at least things are getting better.

Re: Going to try my hand at welding

I've only really fired it up twice, with pretty lame results so far, but for about 3 hours practice total, I don't feel too bad.

I did find some scrap metal on the side of the road (an Ikea bed...

Re: Blow torch to re-activate clear coat?

I've heard plenty of stories about using a heat gun to bring unpainted fenders back around, but never painted.

I'd think you'd have better luck with wet sanding than a torch.

Re: Going to try my hand at welding

Welded for the very first time today on some 1/8 inch metal. Just putting down some practice welds. I think I need to turn the voltage up some but I know for sure I need more practice.

Re: Going to try my hand at welding

I was on the fence with that one. Most of the reviews I saw on youtube said that they are both good welders for the price, and yours is about $40 cheaper. In the end I'm a victim of marketing, and...

Going to try my hand at welding

I need a custom bracket for the exhaust on my Jeep and had thought to take my current bracket to the machine shop as I've done in the past. I decided to go ahead and spring the 260 bucks it cost at...

What type of carb is one it - the stock carter one? The bogging down sounds like a fuel delivery problem, but as Mark said, it would be good to set the timing.

    How old is the gas?

    Re: 2023 exhaust

I put a cold air intake on my 2005 Wrangler when I first bought it. Didn't really do anything but make it a bit louder. I'd skip the cold air intake personally.
