    Re: Rough Crap-try shocks!

I think he's saying that the suspension may have extended farther than the shock could travel, and the bar pin was the weakest link, so it broke.

Re: Squealing belt on my TJ

It sure feels like it these days!

Rockauto has it all for $93 shipped. I'll just do them all while I'm in there. Thanks.

    Squealing belt on my TJ

I've noticed that If I press hard on the gas pedal I'll get a squealing belt sound from my TJ. It's gone on for a couple of months now, and only happens when I really give it the beans. There is a...

Re: What did you do to your Jeep today?

I've never had to do that job. What were the symptoms that it was going bad?

Re: Worst carb I have ever seen

    I watch Mustie1 quite a bit! He's really good.

The old carb bowl would also leak fluid, the gasket around the bowl was shriveled up, as well as the one at the bottom. I ended up buying a new...

Worst carb I have ever seen

I enjoy fixing old throwaway lawn mowers, so often grab them off the side of the road to tinker on. I found a nice Troy-Bilt mower that looks good it would start and run for a second and then die. I...
  10. Re: 07 wrangler, stalling at idle/traffic lights.

It sounds electrical to me. I would start by cleaning the battery terminals if they need it, and verifying the main ground looks good. From there I would wiggle the wires while the engine is...

    Re: 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport

I like the idea of buying a stock Wrangler. I'd rather have one that's only been driven to church on Sundays over one that's been beatup on the rocks.

What JPNinPA said - just really look it...

Re: What should I get for my birthday?

I think I did pretty good! I got a cool solder station that will hold the parts you're working on while you soldier them together.

The brake bleeder works better than I expected. I was surprised...

    Re: Jeep Wrangler tailgate removal

Should be pretty easy to get it off. I think there are just two hinges on the passenger side.

I'm still very happy with my garmin mini, and would buy it again.

    Re: Upgraded my lawnmower

My yard is way to small for that, but my neighbor had one and it was pretty cool. He said there was an alarm that would notify him if it left his yard (stolen) and he could track it.

That is a pretty nice bumper. I like the built in LED ports.

    Re: Upgraded my lawnmower

    I've got this hedge trimmer:
    https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCHT820P1-Hedge-Trimmer/dp/B01BSURQ3O

And love it. It's only 20V, but chews through everything I throw at it. I couldn't imagine what...

    Re: Upgraded my lawnmower

I got it off the side of the road - the older batteries had died, so I replaced them. It took two 12 volt batteries that were pretty large - the rectangle shaped ones. Together the two batters were...

    Re: Positraction?

This sounds like normal behavior for an open differential. If you stopped the passenger side tire then the driver side should spin. Don't know if you could do this with your hand or if it requires...

    Re: Positraction?

I would not expect the front to have a limited slip or posi track. You could possibly have a locker in front but not a limited slip.

The ABS light I believe is just a sensor on the wheel. Look for...

    Upgraded my lawnmower

I've been using this battery powered lawn mower that I got for free for years now. It got to the point where every year I would buy new lead acid batteries to go in it. I started shopping around for...

Re: What did you do to your Jeep today?

Which end is spinning - is it the pitman end, or the wheel end?

I think what you'll need to do is put some tension on the nut. Either put a pickle fork / lever between the frame and the drag...
