    Running temp

    What is the normal operating temp. of a 304 v8 ? New water pump & a new thermostat 195 degree. Should it be running at 230 degrees in traffic ? Thnx.

    I keep my battery connections clean religiously so I dont think thats an issue, could there be a ground connection loose somewhere I dont know about ?

    Idle oil pressure is 35 to 40, 2000 rpm around 45 psi. Forgot to mention, I live in an area where summer temps are 90 to 110 degrees if that makes any difference.

    First post in about 5 years, got busy.
    I had been using 10w30 oil in my 304, do I need to use a multi weight oil or straight 30 or 40 weight ? It has a 4 barrel & very heavy cam. Input pls. Thanks....

    Not! I have used Holley's in the past. The orings

    Well I spent half of Saturday underneath my cj, disconnected the left leaf
    spring & ubolts from the axle. The center pin is all there ,nothing broken,fit
