Re: Anyone else stuck at home?

I don't have / use a table saw, but I am guilty of poor handling of circular saws. I've used propped the board on my knee, or just held it in the air while cutting. Now that I've got kids who are...

Re: Used MSD ignition, is it worth it?

Is the rest of your ignition stock? It's been >20 years since I had my CJ7, but when I did the TFI ignition upgrade it was like night and day. A bigger distributor cap, better wires, and the new...

    Re: Central Axle Disconnect Lines?

This diagram was labeled as a 1995 2.5L 4x4 hose routing. I think it's what you're looking for.

Re: Anyone else stuck at home?

I'm guessing this is the new normal. I work from home now, don't really leave when I'm not working. I appear to be a shut-in.

Re: Trouble with 3" lift axle aligment

You can make it work. On mine, I used a come-along (like a manual winch) to pull the axle to the side. You may be able to do it with ratchet straps. Once you get it hooked up, you'll notice that...

Re: Trouble with 3" lift axle aligment

You're looking at the trackbar, also called a panhard bar. It's designed to keep the axle under your Jeep. It's the red bar in this picture

This video seems to be accurate

  12. Re: 2005 TJ - only speed 3 and 4 on my fan / AC

It's fixed! JPNinPA, you were right on the money. I bought a BWD brand Resistor (part RU1045) at Advanced:
BWD HVAC Blower Motor Resistor RU1045: Advance Auto Parts

Popped it in, and now I have...
  13. Re: 2005 TJ - only speed 3 and 4 on my fan / AC

A quick look on ebay, and the switch is $150+, while the motor is only $40

  14. 2005 TJ - only speed 3 and 4 on my fan / AC

My TJ has 4 settings for it's interior fan (or well, it did). Now, only speeds 3 and 4 actually do anything.

What's the best way to troubleshoot this? I assume it's either the switch or the...

    Re: Dashcam for a Wrangler

Is that G. Love? That's fine by me.

I was looking at the Garmin mini, it's $99 with a $30 hard wire cable (I don't want to do the cigarette lighter thing) and a $16 128GB card, so $145 all in.

    Dashcam for a Wrangler

Anyone have suggestions for a dashcam that would be mounted in my TJ? I'm not looking for a suction cup / cigarette plug setup, but something that I'd mount permanently and have it look nice. I'd...

  18. Re: Question about putting mods on a 2020 4cyl

I'd think that the cost of regearing at a shop would be similar to the price difference between the 4 and the 6. You'd be better off starting with the 6 if it's in your budget.
  19. Re: Question about putting mods on a 2020 4cyl

I wonder if there have been enough changes in the 2020 Wrangler to make this less of an issue. If he's already got 33s, going to 35s may not be that big of a deal.

    I suspect you're right...
  20. Re: Question about putting mods on a 2020 4cyl

Are you planning on re-gearing, or running the stock gears? Any idea what the existing gears are?

What size tires do you currently have?
  21. Re: Need alittle help with my GMC Acadia fan problem

The fans in this GMC Acadia are frustrating. They come on and go off as they see fit. Sometimes one fan on high and the other off. I can't really find a reason for it, but I've decided that's just...
  22. Re: Need alittle help with my GMC Acadia fan problem

    Thanks for the help JPNinPA

    For those who follow:
The issue ended up being a dirty ground. Everything looked clean, but the fans were grounded to the body - I took the ground off, cleaned it up...
  23. Re: Need alittle help with my GMC Acadia fan problem

You know, i don't know that the issue was not there before the water pump. This all started because the AC didn't work. The shop did a bunch of work and said "you also need a water pump" - I didn't...
  24. Need alittle help with my GMC Acadia fan problem

I broke down and took my wife's 2012 to the shop for some AC work. They replaced everything (compressor, condenser, and others), until there was only the cooling fan left. They also mentioned that...
