We did 3 years ago, they could not fix it so we had no other option. We were upside down 6K and had spent 7K on repairs and rental cars through the ordeal, the 6K went on the loan for the Ford and the 7K languished on a credit card. So I guess if you look at it as the first 6K that gets paid off...
