Yes matching up the RMS is a good start. There are lots of opinions out there but generally it is better to over power your speakers just slightly. Your deck should power the 6x9's ok but if your buying high dollar ones you might want to put them on a amp as well.

You need to compare the RMS ratings not the MAX ratings of both the speakers and the amp. You can also use a mono or a two channel amp depending on how you wire it. And pay attention to the ohm ratings it DOES make a difference. Crutchfield.com has some good info I would check out.

Too much antifreeze will make it run a lil warmer but not much. How hot is it running 210-220 is pretty normal. have you checked for any obstructions in front of radiator? If you have or can borrow a infared thermometer you check the radiator for cold spot telling you that its clogged.

Keep it simple. It could just be your radiator cap not holding pressure as well. Does it have a fan clutch? It could be failing. It may be stupid but are you sure there is enough coolant in the sytem and at the right ratio? Water cools better than antifreeze. Also want to make sure you burp the...

KC's are reasonable. Stuff breaks like bobcat said but you dont want to have to fix things after a few trips. so its kinda a catch 22.
