actually, it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator I put on in front of the Weber...one of those Mr. Gasket jobs...I turned it up from 3.5 to 5.5 and THAT problem went away.

Like I said, it was a problem that only fixed itself when I removed and replaced the red battery cable, so I don't think it was the ground. So far shining up the positive terminals has done the trick. There's another little problem that I've had since I bought this old relic...the PO said...
