    Tires?? Stock xj

Depends on the tire too. Just because the sidewall says one size doesn't mean that's what you get. A lot of mud tires run almost an inch small, especially BFG and Maxxis. I ran 235/75/15s on mine stock, roughly 29" and they were perfect.

    lift blocks

Rusty is the owner of Rusty's Offroad. It's the mans name not just the name of his company and I've ridden with him several times.

    Extra clearance

And exactly how would one go about putting a body lift on a vehicle without a frame?

Cherokee pics. Lets see your rig

Did a little "body work" on mine, almost ripped the back door off using a tree as a pivot on a side hill. Just adds more character I guess.

    dana 44a question

That makes no since since both the D35 and D44a are c-clipped but the 44a is a little stronger but not much. The housing is the weakest link for both.

    Ford 8.8

There is nothing cheap about an axle swap. 8.8 is a decent axle but the pinion is a bit low, like a 9" and it hangs a bit low for a 33" or smaller tire.

    dana 44a question

    Different cover.

    Good buy?

It also has a different bolt pattern and the GC 44 uses different lockers than a standard 44 so be aware the aftermarket is very slim for this axle. It's also c-clipped but being a WJ it shouldn't have the aluminum center section. If you can get it for about half that and swap your front hubs...

How to tell by numbers what cj gears you have?

Not sure with numbers but an easy way would be to jack up one side, with the tires scotched, and with it in neutral spin a wheel one full turn and count how many times the yoke turns. If it turns 3 times it's prob a 3.07, 3 1/2 is a 3.55, 3 3/4 is a 3.73 and so on.

    What Winch To Buy ?

Love my Warn, also a M8000. You want at least a 8k and like he said the smittybuilt is cheap, slow and if you're lucky like my brother, you have to hold it engauged or else it pops out which isn't exactly safe. Superwinch seem to work pretty good as well. Milemarker makes the smittybuilts...

    question for the pros

Your axles are your weak link. The 35 rear doesn't like 33s much less 35s and you are prob geared so high you'd loose 5th gear without regearing your axles. Plenty of people run 35s on a 30/35 combo but if you wheel it you will break shafts, not a matter of if but when.

97 jeep tj rear diff leak (sump)

Unless you know how to set up gears don't mess with that part. Bearings are somewhat cheap but it uses specialty tools to set everything up. If it's off by thousandths of an inch it can kill your ring and pinion.

97 jeep tj rear diff leak (sump)

Use a torque wrench when you remove the nut so you can retorque it the same when you put it back so you don't over crush the crush sleeve. If there is play in the yoke before you pull it you may have bad bearings.

    79' CJ5 spring over help.....

I personally am not a fan of body lifts due to linkage issues and would suggest a spring lift. Spring over will give you roughly 5" of lift but stock springs don't tend to like the setup and steering can be a bit tricky. What size tire are you trying to clear?
