Can you get a pic? Hard to say when you don't know the extent of the damage. If its too bad you can always replace it with a one piece inner from a newer model. XJ shafts will also work.

X2 I'd like to see the drive shaft angles, bet those u-joints scream going down the road.

Not on on XJs but I think Libertys did. Just get a set of ZJ disc. You have to modify them slightly for the 8.25 but its not hard and there are lots of write ups on it.

Is your wagoneer full size or small like the xj cherokees? AW4 is the type of transmission, TCU is the transmission control unit aka computer and TPS is throttle position sensor. If its full size you don't have an AW4 and I don't think they have OD either.

Wish I had thought of that with all the old shafts I hauled off to the scrap yard.

Got mine from Summit Racing for 170 bucks shipped for 4. The black soft 8s and D windows are less than 50 bucks each and these are Cragars and good wheels.

Unless you're set on rear disc find a 97 and later 8.25 out of another XJ. It's a direct bolt in and almost as strong as a D44. It's good up to about 35s and you can always get ZJ disc brakes and put them on it. Also unlike the 8.8 it's the same width as your stock axle not narrower.

Could be but mine did this back when I had stock axles and it was water and air in my lines.

Like Bounty said TSLs ain't round. My 38s aren't even close. That being said I ran 33 XTerrains on my XJ for almost 5 years and they wore even and they were balanced when new and never again. Can't say the same for my BFGs or M. Thompsons. Didn't bother balancing the TSLs, what's the point...

I run Amsoil in my Cummins that sees a lot of highway miles but my Jeep that gets the gear oil changed every other trip due to the mud you can't avoid in the south gets the cheap stuff you buy by the gallon at the parts store.

I run TSL Bias but mine never sees any pavement. I ran Mickey Thompson MTZs before that and they worked well and when I sold them had well over 1/2" of tread and about 30k on them.

I'm guessing you have a 97 and even with the 4L you could still have a 44a. Aluminum center section is a give away.
