I don't know if it was changed as soon as they ditched the 2.5 for the 2.4 or not.

. I attached a couple of pictures of the bracket and the quick disconnects, you can see where I deleted the mid bar for the time being as well as where I made my pivot point. I may change both of those features but for now it works very well and doesn't balloon up any more than before.

Actually with the 2.4l that he has axle gearing was 3.73 with the manual 6 speed. My buddy has an '05 with that same setup.

Is your jeep lifted? If so how much and what is the conditions of your parts? A picture or three is worth a lot in this case. Escpecially of your front axle and steering, also the control arms mainly the bushing (or joints if aftermarket). Alignment specs also change if your jeep isn't stock.

The "drops" are a metal spacer that go between your transmission cross member and in your case your unit body. The easiest solution to add rear seat shoulder harness' would be to grab a roll bar from a 93-95 yj (I think 92 was a transional year where some had the fast back cage and some had the family cage). It should be pretty much bolt in for a cj7.
