Utah jeepster that is exactly why I like the T&T customs kit. It locates off of specific points on the frame so you do not have to do all the 4 link calcs. All you need to do after installing their kit is a 4 wheel alignment.
Don't get me wrong it is a kit and there are compromises. Some people...
Look up T&T customs they have a pretty nice setup. Beefy links, good joints, cross member, skid plate, and mounts etc. It does require welding and the kit works well. I know you said you wanted to build one but there is a lot of math and measuring to get it right if you are starting from...
animus what years of CJ5 are you referring to? There were a few changes made o the CJ5 over the years and the later the model the farther from the CJ2a they became. The early CJ5 54-71 had a wb 1" longer than the CJ2a, but in 72 the hood and fenders were stretched 5" and the wb an additional 3"...
SH that 1991a1 is a beautiful gun. But I would never use it as a CCW. My reasoning is I have had an overzealous officer confiscate my weapon before. When I got it back it was totally ruined. I would rather loose a $300 cheap gun that a beautiful piece like yours. I hope this never happens to you.
Is this noise new to your truck, or are you new to the Dana 20? No insult intended.
The Dana 20 is a rather noisy transfer case in 4wd. But it has a rear output that is inline with the input so 2wd is much quieter.
I asume this is not a factory drivetrain since neither the TH400 or Dana 20 were...
Yeah, I have a few.
I will say some of my favorites are .22cal. I can practice with them all summer with about $100 in amo. The big calibers get pricey to shoot a lot, even if I reload my own.
I compete in small bore, F class, FCSA, etc.
I do not see where they are going on the 19th. There was talk of changing the 26th trip to the 19th, but it never was changed. Or do you know something I do not?
As far as left or right hub they are the same, so it doesn't matter which side they are on. It only takes about 300' of driving for the hub to go from free all the way around to lock. So far it has only been the left hub acting up.
Unless you are making big horsepower where you need a bigger clutch to handle the power, or some exclusive use like mud bogging where the rpm's are high and you can take advantage of their special design, I would use a stock clutch.
Other than the weights on the pressure plate which use centrifugal force to apply more pressure at higher rpm they work, grip, and install the same as any other clutch. I am not knocking their product but unless you are spinning high rpm's it is no better than a stock clutch, and in typical...
Re: Warn hup issues
I have taken them apart and it's all there. I even pulled the same Warn premium hub off my superduty and compared them, all looks the same, The Jeep axle has a different spline count so I can't just swap hubs.
