pretty much set on getting a TJ

Soft tops are great. I love the fact that you have the ability to have it off, but still have it with you, in the case of a freak storm or something. That was one of the major criteria for me when I was searching for the perfect jeep for me. I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Less talk....more action.

Okay everybody. There's been a lot of talk about stickers recently, so now that they're out, let's see who's real about it.

They hold up pretty well, as far as snow goes. Depending on what kind you get. Most of them have frames in them, so its not like its gonna collapse or anything. As far as the cold goes, any car is chilly when you first get in, but as long as you have a good working blower motor on your heater...

    Custom TJ front bumper

Just so you guys know, if you want to give your email to anyone, I would do it via PM. The last time some of us posted emails on a thread, we started getting some dude from asia or something saying he was doing a study of some sort....ah crap...I don't really remember exactly what he said, but...

    6th cylinder not firing?

Wait a minute.... what? You don't have spark plug wires connected to your spark plugs? What kind of space age vehicle are we talking about here?

Actually....now that I think about it, I need to do that too. My coffee gets everywhere in the mornings. Of course, it doesn't really help that I TRY to hit every puddle and bump on my way to work. :)

I like your set up. It does look a lot cleaner. Good idea on the location there, but speaking of looking cleaner....... you should get together with some wet ones, and have a day in your jeep. ;) Heeheeheeee =P

I often wonder why anyone even bothers to make any other vehicle. I can understand big trucks for hauling, but everything else is pretty much just a waste of potential jeep steel.

    Catalogs

Quadratec.com has free catalogs. They have some good stuff. Jc Whitney, allthingsjeep.com, just use google.

    6th cylinder not firing?

Have you tried just giving her the ol standard tune up? Plugs wires cap and rotor can make a big difference, if any one of these things are on the way out. Start simple. That's the best policy. Good luck, and don't get discouraged.

    newer jeeps

Im kinda with you there. Im not saying I wouldn't drive one. Nononononono...... but I wanted an older jeep specifically for the reasons you pointed out. I love the ruggedness, being able to just bolt on whatever I feel is necessary, taking it out, and beating it up a little bit. I would...

    Off Topic but.....Windshield seal failing

I used to build outdoor kitchens, and a lot of them had glass roofs. We used a product called henry's. Its basically tar, and it can get VERY messy if you aren't careful, but it does its job for sure. It comes in either a caulk style tube, or a bucket at lowes or home depot. Good luck.

Don't get sensitive now, I was just wondering. It took me a long, long time before I finally got one. At least you have a goal in mind.

    Surpentine belt change

You are very welcome, but I do agree with the above mentioned statement. It shouldn't be able to be done by hand, unless you have super powers, in which case, im glad to have you on my side in a dark alley.

    Good to be here!

I was just in Oregon over this last weekend, and it seems like lots of folks out that way have radar detectors. It seemed like all the traffic would speed up, and slow down at the same times.... coincidentally, the slowing down would happen whenever there was a police car present on the side of...
