    Is the Jeep wave dying?

I agree with most of the responses above...most JK owners (4-door and unmodded, especially) don't wave. I have seen some older folks in unmodded TJ's who don't wave, too. But the new gen of 2wd 4-door wranglers has definitely altered the demographics of owners. Making 4wd optional on the 4-door...

Post pics of Topless Day festivities

Thought it would be fun to see how everyone is faring on national Go Topless Day. Here's some of our club members (Jeep Masters of Augusta) celebrating by wheeling in S.C. It got pretty warm, but at least there was a steady breeze. Hope everyone had fun...that's what it's all about.

    What's your day job?

Inventory manager for a graphics and label company, on-site at Club Car...our largest customer. There are several Jeep owners who work here...mine's the best. (Not that I'm biased, or anything...) Talk about our Jeeps with each other any chance we get.

    03-06 tj lift

Scott, a 2 inch budget boost with spring spacers will run anywhere from $160 to $300 and give clearance for 32" tires. With such a lift, you will not need to modify much else (brake lines, for instance). You can find more expensive kits for a 2 inch lift that includes new coil springs (instead...

    hey there

No Jeep is stupid and useless. Stock Jeeps are incredibly capable off-roaders straight out of the factory, so I don't know why anyone would ridcule one with 6 inches of lift and 33 inch tires. I'm on my third Jeep, and this is the only one I've lifted. My older TJ and XJ were stock...and took me...

    Engine fan hitting shroud...

An e-fan would be nice. How pricey? And I hope to God it isn't a broken engine mount...guess I know what I'm doing first thing in the morning.

Thinking of new 32 inch Jeep Tires - any suggestions?

I switched recently from 30" M/T's to 32" Pro-Comp A/T's. Took a while to get used to the silence, but they've fared well in sand and mud so far. Their wet traction is better than the M/T's I had, too. I was skeptical at first, being an M/T kinda guy, but they've won me over with their...

SYE kit necessary for 4 inch lift?

Anyone have opinions of Skyjacker 4" kit vs. the Rough Country 4 " kit? They seem to have the same parts. Running a Skyjacker 2" kit now, and the shocks stiffened up the ride...which doesn't bother me, but my wife hates it. The Rough Country kit is on sale for a bit less money, and their...

    Engine fan hitting shroud...

When the axles flex in opposite directions, my fan is contacting the shroud (and hopefully not the radiator itself) making a God-awful racket. At first I thought I blew the transmission or Xfer case, but I remembered this being fixed under warranty right after I bought the Jeep...used to do it...

A reason to wear your seatbelt

Also illustrates how strong a stock roll-cage is in a TJ. Would have been even worse in any vehicle that didn't have a cage...stock or otherwise. Scary stuff.

    Jeep sounds like a motorbike?

Was the mud wattery or more like pudding? Could you maybe have gotten some of that mud/muddy water into the muffler? If you're buried deep enough and you cut the engine off, I think it can backflush up the exhaust system and cause issues (Steel can probably explain this much better than I - or...

SYE kit necessary for 4 inch lift?

I'd like to upgrade from a 2" lift to 4". The Skyjacker kit comes with track bar brackets, drop pitman arm, new control arms, and transfer case lowering kit. Will it also be necessary (or just preferrable) to install an SYE kit? If I went to 6", I definitely know that this and other mods...

Reaching the top of the hill. Fun stuff.

One of those steep hills with loose sand and tight quarters...keep your foot in the gas! The next 2 guys kept letting off the throttle about halfway up and never could make it.
