    2.5L to a 4.0 engine

Agreed ^ don't waste your time and money. Buy what you want. If your you have a nice suspension setup on ur current vehicle buy the new and swap it all then sell the old. A whole new xj will be less expensive than sourcing everything you need for the swap

    temp sensor

Last week I rebuilt the top end of my 93 Cherokee 4.0 and I busted the temp sensor on the back of the head. I bought a new one and installed it and its reading a temp of around 230 on my gauges. I have am infrared temp gun and it reads 180 ( my t-stat temp) everywhere including the t-stat...

Cant get my YJ to pass CA Smog

High nox is caused by high combustion chamber temp. The egr valve recirculates the exhaustinto the intake which in some way cools the temp inside the chamber eliminating nox. Unfortunately our nice friendly 4.0s don't have an egr system. If all your other emissions pass really well especially...

Today I replaced all clutch components dues to an...

    clutch issues

Last week a a bearing started screaming inside the bellhousing. It only happens while clutch is pushed in which means its throughout bearing on the slave. When I bought it the guy said he had just had the clutch done so I'm guessing he only had the clutch itself replaced. Seemed like a cheap...

1998 cherokee XJ steering problem HELP!

I had a 4.5 inch lift on my xj and before I got a drop pitman arm the tie rods were nowhere near parallel. It makes it much harder to align the front tires properly. Also When I removed the ball joint from the original it was pretty beat up from being maxxed out during articulation . The one...
