Yesterday I installed my old budget lift from my xj onto my younger brothers xj... My old front coils went on his rear lifting it a good 3.5 inches and I put my lift block from the front on. Came out real nice and that's all that was done.. got it aligned and got sin new 31" hth at's what do you...
A couple years ago my cousin totaled his s10 v6 with a series 40 flowmaster and it sounded real nice so I stole it and put it on my v6 Tacoma... It wasn't exactly a v8 sound but it was loud and agressive.. sounded like a race engine
It's definitely the safer way to go without worrying about too much other stuff. When my budget lift was on my xj I was still able to have fun on trails and I was impressed what the stock suspension with a little boost could do
The front suspension on a wj and xj are pretty similar the rear isnt but IDE be more worried about the front because I'm pretty sure wj's have a triangulated/wishbone style link setup that doesn't use a track bar. For the aal I dislike them cause they make the ride stiffer and yeah they can sag...
You could probly do the 3 inch no problem and not worry about any extra things to make it safe. When I bought my xj it was on 3 inch blacks and that's it and it was fine for thousands of miles before I stepped it up to 4.5.. not sure what those kits come with but if ur going with 4 you will...
Just another thought that occured to me.. what about the radiator? I know the automatic has a trans fluid. Cooler.. what do I do about that? Is the trans cooler external or built into my radiator
I have a 97 xj with an automatic transmission and I know a guy with a 90 xj with a manual. I'm during to have a manual transmission and he hurt his knee so he can't work the clutch anymore. What would be involved in swapping the transmissions from one jeep to another. IDE be doing all the labor...
I picked up a Dana 30 from a guy on cl for a 100 bucks.. he was going an axle swap to a Dana 44 and a 14 bolt rear.. I hadn't realized how large those axles were in comparison to stock
I wanna keep 31s.. my current Dana 35 is bent from age and abuse and instead of fixing or replacing it I figured IDE upgrade it. IDE like to do a Dana 44 but is there any kit to change the 6 bolt pattern to the 5 bolt patter I already have.. fabricating parts isn't an issue for me I've been...
