Welding / Body Mount The mount plates on the front two points of my CJ rollbar are pretty messed up. After the rust was removed, they're very thin and full of holes. They could be rebuilt or remade, but it would be sooo much easier for me to buy new ones and reweld them to the rollbar...

There's no hardware needed. My hartop holes don't line up to my softtop bracket holes, so you may need to drill new holes on the windshield frame. Many here put a seal between the top and the body. I've never done it, plan to next time I put my hardtop on. -X

I never was a fan of that on the CJ's. However, on the TJ, it gives it a pretty cool "Old School" look. In this case, I definately say do it. -X

If it makes you feel better, the same thing happened to me last year minus the snow. Had the top down, forgot, it rained for a couple hours, then froze overnight. The seats were solid blocks of ice. I had to deal with it to work and back then let it sit in a heated garage for a couple hours...
