Sounds like mine - and I have the chrysler rear... its a common problem - mine has done it for 30k miles and hasn't gotten worse. Yoiu will probably find it lessens when slowing down due to the change in the load.

if you want a real cruise control, there are aftermarket kits... a motor to connect to the throttle, a sensor on the speedo, and the controls, not much to it.
