No. I think if either were bad I would get a code or no spark. I had a bad cps in my xj. It just stopped running. Cooled off and started running again. That was an easy fix Cam sensor is in the distributor right?

A thought. I have a 3 inch body lift( bought it that way) The PO told me that the filler tube and vent tube in the tank are stretched because the kit didn't come with extended ones. Once in awhile I smell gas near the filler neck. Possible I'm getting air in my tank and does that matter?

Dont buy the cheap assembly. It will fail. Spend the $150 at napa and get the good one. If you have a bad hub pull the tires off. You will smell the burnt grease in the hub and you can use a pry bar. Also have you checked to see if the outer part of the rotor hasn't separated from the center...
